Join us TOMORROW, April 22nd at 3p (eastern)/12 noon (pacific) for the next webinar in a series of themed presentations around research and practice in Media Psychology and Technology.
Presentation info & how to join below:
Presenter: Dr. Don Grant MA, MFA, CCDC, Ph.D.
Presentation Description: For those struggling with a dependence to alcohol and/or other mind-altering substances, new computer-mediated platforms provide even the most introverted, shame-based, compromised, or isolated individual the option to connect with online sobriety support communities, including, but not limited to, Alcoholics Anonymous.
This presentation showcases a quasi-experimental study designed to investigate any potential migration from face-to-face to online recovery, and reveals research on the significant differences in sobriety support experience, modality preference and efficacy outcomes between face-to-face (F2F) and online-based recovery.
